Earth’s rotation The earth’s rotation is slowing at a rate of about 1-second per month. Now if we speed up the rotation of the earth at about 1-second per month and go back millions of years it creates a few problems. Prevailing winds are caused by two factors one of which is the earths rotation (The Coriolis effect). Going back millions of years the Coriolis effect would have had such a negative effect on the climates, leaving a menacing environment for life to survive (desertification). Also, the centrifugal force would have been too great for life to survive, unless the earth isn’t millions of years old.
Decaying magnetic field The earth’s magnetic field is decaying, 6% over the last 150 years. Now if we reversed this process and increased this magnetic field in just 25,000 years the heat caused by the electronic current would kill life.
Erosion rate The continents are eroding, in fact they should erode flat to sea level in 14 million years and destroying the fossil record. Yet they say the universe is billons of years old.
Salt in the oceans Water in the oceans contain 3.6% dissolved minerals. There are 457 million tons of minerals deposited each year in the oceans, while they lose only 122 million tons. If the earth is as old as they claim the oceans would be saturated by salt.
Sediment on the ocean floor The rate that sediment is accumulated on the ocean floor leaves only a few thousand years of accumulation. Not millions as they claim.
The oldest known The oldest known tree is the Bristle cone pine and is 4,300 years old. The oldest known reef is The Great Barrier reef which is less than 4,200 years old. Finally, the oldest known desert is the Sahara, about 4,000 years old. Why, if the earth is as old as they say, aren't there older examples of these things? We believe in a young earth which would be about 7,000-10,000 years old. So one might ask why these examples we used aren't older than 4,000 plus years? That's easy these things could not survive a world wide flood. they would have to start after Noah's flood, which took place about 4,000 plus years ago. Coincidence?
Helium in the atmosphere Our helium comes from three sources: Radioactive decay of either uranium or thorium produces helium. Helium spewed out by the sun, is pulled in by earth's gravity. Helium is also produced in the upper atmosphere. All of that helium is accumulating, since helium is not able to reach escape velocity and go into outer space. But the amount of helium we have is too small if our world has existed for long ages. Based on all three helium producers, earth's atmospheric age cannot be over 10,000 years
Topsoil formation It has been calculated that 300 to 1,000 years is required to build one inch [2.54 cm] of topsoil. Yet the average depth of topsoil is about eight inches. On this basis, the earth could only be a few thousand years old.
Encased oil deposits When they drill into the ground, they sometimes hit oil and it's often under high pressure, like 20,000 PSI. The guys who study the rocks say the pressure of the oil is greater than the pressure of the over baring rocks. This creates a problem, because the oil should have cracked the rocks in less than 10,000 years. If the earth is billions of years old then the oil pressure would have cracked through the rocks already, and the oil wouldn't be at 20,000 PSI of pressure.
