Just a reminder doing these things will NOT save you, they just show us if we are His.
Confess with your mouth. Jesus died for our sins and we should not be afraid to confess Him as our saviour. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Luke 6:45 and Matt. 10:32
Christian fellowship- Proverbs 12:26 The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.
No fellowship with unbelievers- This is not to say we won't associate with them, in fact we should.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
The world will hate you. In fact if things are going too smoothly it could be a sign we aren't walking rightly. John 17:14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
You will suffer persecution. Remember our reward comes upon His return. 2 Tim 2:3-12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
You will have good works. James 2:24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
You will bear good fruit. Matthew 7:19-21 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
You will bear fruits of the spirit. Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Eph. 5:9
Hate evil. Romans 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
No longer love the things of the world. 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Will do God’s will. Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Water Baptism. Water baptism is a outward sing of a inward choice. Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Sorrowed by ones sin. 2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
