Relationship characteristics:
A) Prayer-Any good relationship has communication, and prayer is our communication with the Father.
Phil. 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
B) Read your bible-God wrote us 66 love letters. Just as we would read letters from a love one on earth, we also should read His letters to us. 2 Timothy 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Joshua 1:8
C)Love God above all- Matt. 10:37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
D) Obedience-Hebrews 5:9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, (John 14:15, 1 John 2:3-4, Heb. 5:9)
E) Willingness to follow Jesus- Matt. 10:38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. (Matt. 16:24, Mark 8:34 & 10:31, Luke 9:23)
F) Will hear His voice- John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
